Some demographics taken out of the stats of our facebook page :

40% of Beyond The Labyrinth’s fans are female -

an interesting figure indicating that the band does not comply to the cliché where hard rock and metal bands only have about 10% female fans

78% of Beyond The Labyrinth’s fans are aged between 25 and 54

FACT : Beyond The Labyrinth reach a broad audience, surpassing all boundaries in rock music.

We asked our Facebook fans 2 questions :

1) what album is playing in the (car) stereo today ?

2) what band’s music is your favorite - and why ?

and we got quite some interesting answers, all styles confused, from established names to lesser-known stuff.. :

from

Classic Rock, Hard Rock and AOR (Bob Seger, David Bowie, Kiss, Deep Purple, W.E.T...)

Progressive Rock (Marillion, Karmakanic,...)

Metal in all of its aspects

Heavy, Symphonic stuff, Stoner, Industrial, Progressive ....

(Motorhead, Monster Magnet, Fear Factory,  Savatage, Heathen, Gamma Ray, Metallica, Testament, Zeke, Iced Earth, Virgin Steele, Channel Zero, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree...)

over

New Wave ... (Simple Minds, Killing Joke)

Rock and Pop in its broadest incarnation... (Elliot Murphy, Neil Young, David Bowie, Clement Peerens Explosition ...)

to

Jazz ... (Jeff Neve)

Rap... (Dj Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince)

and even someone mentioning carnival music ;) ...

Beyond The Labyrinth reaches an audience that still buys CD’s. They will look for these CD’s in their regular CD store, and expect to find and buy them there. However, if they do not find the album, this audience will try and download a copy of the album from the internet, until they get a hold of a real copy.

This means that distribution and store presence are crucial for any record company wanting to release Beyond The Labyrinth’s music.
